Memento Mortis: Pioneering Contemporary and Experimental Art Forms
Founded on the scenic island of Crete in October 2022, Memento Mortis is a non-profit artistic collective dedicated to pushing the boundaries of contemporary and experimental art. Established by acclaimed writer and director Lefteris Giannakoudakis and visionary dancer and choreographer Marina Christodoulaki, Memento Mortis seeks to explore the depths of human emotion, identity, and societal reflections through avant-garde artistic expression.
Our collective thrives on blending diverse art forms, from post-dramatic theatre and body theater to poetry, dance performances, visual art, and video creations. At Memento Mortis, we believe in creating immersive, multi-dimensional experiences that challenge traditional narratives and invite audiences to engage in deep reflection.
With each project, Memento Mortis aims to ignite conversations and provoke emotions, nurturing a space where both artists and audiences can explore the complexities of existence and the ever-changing dynamics of the contemporary world.
